How to open the Ouchie Pouchie child safe zip?

Our Ouchie Pouchie bags are fitted with a Child-safe zip which simply means they can’t be opened without something being placed through the zip to unlock the locking mechanism.

This is a safety feature we added to stop your little ones from getting into the rice and leaving an unwanted mess!

In each Ouchie Pouchie pack we provide a paperclip which you can pop through the zip to open and fill with rice as shown in the pictures below.

If you do happen to lose your paperclip you could instead use a bobby pin, safety pin or a toothpick 📎🧷🙌🏽

As it has a metal child safe zip you cannot microwave the Ouchie Pouchie

Can I use any rice inside the Ouchie Pouchie?

Yes, we use a medium grain rice as we believe it feels the best. You could also use flaxseed or any other rice you have on hand
